It is important that the board receives regular accurate and reliable reports on the progress and outcomes of different fundraising campaigns. This will allow them make better decisions.
Many boards delegate management responsibility to an internal leader, which is typically a chief executive officer (CEO). The Board is responsible for selecting the CEO and establishing the compensation and giving annual evaluations to the CEO and each of the board members. The Board must also establish the opportunity for training and orientation for current and new board members to help them in their growth.
